About Rob
Rob is 23 and has been racing for about a year and a half. He races his bike in the New Era Superclub Formula 400 Championship and does a few Club Championship rounds. Last year he rode an underpowered bike to score points in the Formula 400 class and win many rookie 400 races. He then got his bike tuned at the end of the season and added a new shock but the bike is still about 7hp under what the top guys in the 400 class run. However he is still 7th in the superclub championship and is in a close battle with 5th and 6th. He has had a 3rd place this year as well as two 5ths and a whole host of 6ths, 7ths and 8ths. This is very good as 38 people have scored points so far. He is consistantly in the top 10 and can mix it with guys on faster bikes. For 2003 he hopes to have his bike tuned to the same as the top runners and should be out for the championship title. So check back next year to see how he is getting on.

About the Bike:
Rob runs a Kawasaki ZXR 400 which has been tuned by Race Techniques to about 73hp. He runs with a Penske shock absorber, PFM discs, Ferodo Pads and Michelen Pilot Intermediate race tire (the tires must have tread on them). The bike is quick but not as good as the top guys so after another tune at the end of the year it should go well. Other things may be changed cash permitting.
